Country Sales Saudi Arabia Food & Beverage m/f/d

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will lead the tactical direction of multiple areas by coaching teams, identifying new growth initiatives, building the right commercial business plans and following through on implementation leading to a positive growth trajectory. This role provides the opportunity to gain exposure to multiple market areas and mentor a dynamic sales team.

Key Accountabilities

Joint Business Planning and Negotiation

  • Achieve annual sales targets for multiple areas by ensuring customer orders are placed and shipped on time.

  • Lead in the negotiation, preparation and agreement of annual business plans with customers to deliver sustainable business growth, both short term and over a 3-year horizon.

  • Support sales team members in reviewing, negotiating and aligning annual business plans with customers.

  • Ensure forecasts are periodically based on market performance and plans adjusted to achieve results.

  • Continuously optimize pricing structures striving to improve revenue across market areas.

  • Prepare, monitor and execute advertising and promotions plans within approved budget.

  • Lead in the preparation and development of channel and category plans to effectively defend and grow revenue.

Finance and Control

  • Ensure all necessary financial instruments are in place ahead of order placement and shipment.

  • Follow up rigorously for on time payment against customer invoices and the reconciliation of accounts.

  • Follow up, process and settle all customer debit notes in a timely manner.

Trade and Category Development

  • Provide customers with the required materials and guidelines including planograms, point of sale and new product launch briefs for excellent trade execution across our products and categories.

  • Work closely with customers to build effective coverage and product distribution across key trade channels.

  • Effectively grow our categories by identifying, planning and effectively executing new product and revenue driving opportunities.

  • Bring back knowledge of competitor activity, trade insights and market intelligence to help develop plans to win.

  • Work closely with our customers to create effective category, product and execution plans with key trade customers.

  • Conduct focus groups to interact with consumers and understand habits to better improve our product portfolio.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain clear business parameters with new and existing customers across markets.

  • Build and develop effective cross functional customer relationships through frequent contact and market visits.

  • Act both internally and externally as the face of the customer working cross functionally to execute effectively.

  • Keep abreast and highlight the impact of any legal, regulatory or trade barriers that may arise.

  • Coach, motivate and develop internal and external customer teams to effectively execute agreed plans.

Team and Process Support

  • Coach and guide team members and sales associates by setting an example

  • Supporting in maintaining work routines and in the development of processes and procedures.

  • Aid the team in achieving sales and personal development objectives.


Ideal Candidate Profile


  • Post Graduate Degree in sales, marketing, business administration or relevant field. 

  • An MBA would be an advantage.


  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the fast-moving consumer goods industry.

  • Proven results in delivering sales targets over multiple market areas, developing multiple customers and collaborating with teams effectively.
