GFIC is looking for a Food Technologist for a Pectin Production

  • Our client plans to build an apple pectin plant in Asia

  • The main direction is low-methoxylated, amidorated, high-esterified pectin according to the standards of the American and European pharmacopoeias. Key clients are pharmaceutical companies and food distributors.

 

The PROJECT STAGE is  preparation of the business plan to the investor.

Therefore, we are looking a FREELANCER-TECHNOLOGIST

  • FOR EXAMINATION OF EQUIPMENT, RAW MATERIALS, PRODUCTION PROCESSES, ETC.

  • AFTER JOINT SUCCESSFUL CLOSING A DEAL WITH AN INVESTOR WE ARE READY TO MAKE OFFER "MAIN TECHNOLOGIST OF THE PLANT" WITH RELOCATION to h plant

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Development of technical specifications for the selection of equipment

  • Expert evaluation of proposals from equipment suppliers

  • Participation in the process at all stages of the project implementation

  • Development of the scheme of the technological process (inputs, outputs)

  • Development of layouts for warehouse and industrial premises

  • Preparation of requirements for the quality of raw materials

  • Description of the process of input quality of raw materials, the procedure for testing in our own laboratory

  • Preparation of working documentation for all stages of production: preparation of dry raw materials, pectin extraction process, modification process…, packaging and storage, water recovery process

  • Interaction with customers and suppliers for technology audits, production, test workings, ingredient introductions, trainings

  • Development of existing pectin recipes using the company's ingredients

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR A CANDIDATE:

  • Experience in pectin production is a must 

  • Higher specialized education focused in Food Science

  • Experienced with a demonstrated history of working in the food production industry building project pipelines and adding contribution margin. 

  • Skilled in Sensory Evaluation, Research and Development (R&D), Food Microbiology, Food Science and GMP. 

  • Experience

    • as a technologist in pectin production as a must (3+ years): commercialize pectin powder at manufacturers, including planning/attendance of pilot trials and commercial runs, optimization of recipes into formulations, and product evaluation.

    • Apply technical knowledge to solve product issues on the benchtop, pilot scale, or commercial scale.

    • Organize and maintain documentation system for ingredients and products.

    • Lead continuous improvement projects for cost initiatives for existing products.

    • Partner with Commercialization, Quality, Marketing, Sales, Sourcing teams to produce products that meet commercial timelines, fit consumer needs, and adapt to supply chain restrictions.

  • Readiness for business trips up to 30% of working time at the first stage (equipment suppliers at the stage of purchase, suppliers of raw materials, customers in the Asia and Europe
